New Tax Compliance Rules to Take Effect in Pennsylvania

If you are an online business with a physical presence in Pennsylvania then bewarned. Effective this upcoming September you had better be ready to be compliant with new rules on licensing and sales tax collection.

These changes in how regulators interpret Pennsylvania law are part of a larger trend across the nation whereby existing laws currently on the books are extended in their purview to cover ever more broadly what it means to have "nexus" with a state as well as what it means to have an "actual physical presence" in a particular state.

Our upcoming 2012 Compliance Guide will have a special section on efficiently dealing with State level compliance during the year. This means we will not only be offering specialized guidance at filing time when it comes to Federal, State & Local level reporting, as addressed by our annual Filing and State Reporting Guide, but also helping you put in place systems that can deal with ever changing year round compliance goals. In addition, our patented TIR Answer Center and our customized in-house seminars also serve as valuable tools that can help you better confront whatever issues that are caused by changes in the law.
