Creating a Global Tax Compliance Set of Processes

Is your organization on the cutting edge? So often when it comes to dealing with tax compliance issues organizations segment their operations - U.S. Federal Reporting is one category; State & Local Reporting is another with Sales & Use and Unclaimed Property Issues often further seperated out from there; and, of course, there is the Non-Resident Alien compliance and reporting concerns as yet another.

However, many of the world's fastest growing organizations are moving past this segmented approach, and are holistically seeking to integrate their compliance and reporting efforts. In effect, they are seeking to create a "global" set of processes. Now, typically this term is one applied by multi-nationals as they seek to adapt to an increasingly complex tax reporting requirement created by doing business in multiple tax jurisdictions the world over. Nevertheless, there is no reason you cannot apply some of the same best practices these multi-national organizations do internationally to your own efforts to keep up with Federal, State, and Local compliance regimes within the U.S.

If you are interested in learning more about these new and emerging best practices for improving your organization's efficiency as it copes with ever changing multi-jurisdictional regulations (with over 60 major changes in US state reporting laws alone over the past two years) then we can help. The TIR Answer Center, our customized in-house seminars, and our upcoming spring 2012 Compliance Guide are all tools that can help you better confront such tax & regulatory burdens. What's more, doing so in as seamless a manner as possible so that your organization can free up time and assets for other more important business and growth opportunities.
