When it comes time to get 1099 statements to your payees and report returns to the IRS you want to know your organization can handle the task. Yet, your job is harder than ever:

  • Recent cutbacks in the IRS workforce have disproportionately impacted departments otherwise meant to help organizations deal with the numerous recent changes in 1099 compliance and reporting law;
  • New Forms 1099-NEC/MISC and other new 1099's have been released since late this spring;
  • The IRIS system is now the only way to e-file 1099's due to the FIRE system's retirement and there are questions regarding how to register for and best employ IRIS;
  • IRS initiatives are still going forward targeting 1099 E-Filing changes;
  • IRS tax support has been gutted;
  • New methodologies for using AI in a 1099 context are finding mixed results;
  • Initiatives to streamline the fall B-Notice season have been abandoned;
  • IRS penalty notices start going out late in July;
  • A new W-9 is being rolled out as we speak;
  • Even worse, that's not nearly everything impacting your prep for filing early next year.

Thankfully, our Year-End seminar is here to help explain it all. You choose the date that works best for you (or schedule your download to learn at your convenience):
